Lovable Pricing in 2026: Plans as Printed Today, and What One Prompt Costs in Credits
Every Lovable pricing guide carries a date, and most of them are months old. This one was read from the pricing page in a browser on the date printed below, includes the Lite plan the page shows today and the full Pro credit ladder from the plan card's dropdown, quotes the credit rules from Lovable's documentation, and puts one number next to the price that nobody else has: what three prompts cost in credits in our own runs.
Updated

What are Lovable's plans and prices today?
Read from lovable.dev/pricing on 26 September 2026, in a browser signed in to a personal account in the EU, which is why the page printed “incl. VAT” under each price. Three cards, a monthly and yearly toggle with “2 months free” on yearly, and no Free card: the Free plan lives in the docs and inside each paid card's “All Free features” line.
| Price | Credits | What the card lists | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month, plus monthly Cloud and AI grants (docs) | Not a card on the page; described in the docs and in the paid cards' "All Free features" line. |
| Lite | $5 / month incl. VAT | 5 daily credits | "Keep your projects running with essential features": custom domains, user roles, remove the Lovable badge. |
| Pro | $25 / month incl. VAT | 100 Pro credits a month, ladder to 10,000 | Credit rollovers, on-demand top-ups, per-member credit limits, design systems, email support. |
| Business | $50 / month incl. VAT | 100 Business credits a month, same tier ladder | Team workspace, role-based access, internal publish, personal projects, SSO, security center, priority support. |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | Custom | Reached through the Security and compliance and Lovable for campus sections. |

The Lite card is the one most guides miss. It is not a builder plan, it has 5 daily credits like Free, and its features are the ones a finished project needs to stay up looking professional: a custom domain, user roles and the badge removed. If an app is done and only needs hosting, Lite is the price of keeping it.
How does the Pro credit ladder price a credit?
The Pro card's dropdown lists eleven tiers. The first four are a flat $0.25 per credit; from 1,200 credits a discount appears and reaches 10% at 5,000, where it stays. The Business card carries the same tiers starting at $50 for 100 credits; we read only its first tier and do not print the rest.
| Category | USD per month |
|---|---|
| 100 credits | 25 ($0.25 each) |
| 200 credits | 50 ($0.25 each) |
| 400 credits | 100 ($0.25 each) |
| 800 credits | 200 ($0.25 each) |
| 1,200 credits | 294 ($0.245 each) |
| 2,000 credits | 480 ($0.24 each) |
| 3,000 credits | 705 ($0.235 each) |
| 4,000 credits | 920 ($0.23 each) |
| 5,000 credits | 1125 ($0.225 each) |
| 7,500 credits | 1688 ($0.225 each) |
| 10,000 credits | 2250 ($0.225 each) |

The ladder is the price that matters for anyone building more than one product, because credits, not seats, are what Lovable meters: every plan has unlimited users. Per-member credit limits on Pro are the control for a team sharing one balance.
What is a credit, and what does one prompt cost?
The credits documentation defines build credits as “Plan mode and Build mode messages in the project chat, work a chat sends to a project, and the images and videos Lovable generates”, and Cloud credits as “hosting your app and running its built-in backend (Cloud), including database, network, storage, compute, and realtime usage”. What a message costs is not fixed: Build mode “cost depends on the complexity of the request and the work completed”, a chat message is “a fraction of a credit”, and per the Plan mode page“A Plan mode message costs one credit, plus the cost of any subagents Lovable starts to research your project while planning”.
So the only way to put a number on a prompt is to run one and read the balance. We did, three times, on prompts from this site's library, in a personal workspace:
| Date | Questions asked first | Credits | What came back | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page + email opt-in | 2026-07-31 | 0 | 1.8 | One round, all five priority features, inline success state, Cloud enabled |
| Empty states and skeletons | 2026-09-26 | 2 | 9.5 | Asked 2 questions, built a /states gallery and a task list, verified slow load, failure and retry |
| SaaS MVP with user auth | 2026-09-26 | 4 | 10.4 | Asked 4 questions, enabled Cloud, self-tested sign-up and invites, roles checked in the database |
| Built-in SEO review (chat) | 2026-09-26 | 0 | 1.1 | 5 of 6 checks passing, one finding |
At the Pro entry tier of 100 credits, that is about fifty landing pages, or nine SaaS foundations with auth and roles, or one product with a few dozen change prompts. The Lovable credits guide has the mechanics in depth, and the prompt examples page shows what each run produced.
What are the rules on rollover, expiry and running out?
| What the page or docs say | |
|---|---|
| Rollover | Pricing page: “Credits roll over for 1 month on monthly plans, or until one month after the end of your annual plan.” Docs: monthly plan credits roll over “as long as your subscription remains active”. |
| Grants | Daily build credits and the monthly Cloud and AI grants “do not roll over”. |
| Zero balance | “Building stops until credits are available”; chat continues on the daily allowance; “AI features in deployed apps stop working”; backend pauses with data kept. |
| Top-ups | On-demand credit top-ups are listed on the Pro card. |
| Seats | Unlimited users on every card; credits are the meter, with per-member limits on Pro. |
| Ownership | The page's FAQ carries “Who owns the projects and code?”; two-way GitHub sync is covered in the docs. |
How does Lovable pricing compare with the alternatives?
On sticker price it sits with the field; on meter it is the credit model. Prices for the others were read on their own pages the same day and are compared in full on the Lovable alternatives page.
| Entry paid price | Meter | |
|---|---|---|
| Lovable | Pro $25/mo for 100 credits (Lite $5 for hosting-only needs) | Credits per message; build and run separate in reporting |
| Bolt.new | Free, Pro $25/mo, Teams $30/mo per member | Tokens |
| Replit | Core $20/mo ($18/mo billed annually), Pro $100/mo ($90/mo billed annually); no free plan is listed on the pricing page, which describes a Free Mode inside plans instead | Effort-based dollars per checkpoint |
| Cursor | Hobby free, Pro $20/mo, Pro Plus $60/mo, Ultra $200/mo, Teams Standard $40/user/mo, Teams Premium $120/user/mo | Included model usage, then API rates |
What do the other pricing guides get wrong, and what did we leave out?
- Dates. The three top-ranking guides on 26 September 2026 were checked in June and August 2026 by their own datelines; two show a $21 annual Pro price the page does not print as a number today (it prints a “2 months free” toggle), and none shows the Lite card.
- Per-prompt costs. Every guide quotes illustrative examples such as a 0.5-credit button change. We print measured runs and say what the prompts were.
- What we left out: the Business ladder beyond its first tier, which we did not read; prices excluding VAT, since the page showed VAT-inclusive figures to our account; Enterprise, which is contact-only.
